As a Senior Associate at Cole-Frieman & Mallon LLP, Jon focuses his practice on counseling investment advisers and other private fund managers through fund formation, fundraising, operational, regulatory, and compliance matters.
Jon has experience organizing and launching hedge, private equity, venture capital, real estate, and digital asset funds, and has also represented institutional investors (e.g., government pension plans, superannuation funds, foundations, fund-of-funds, family offices, hospitals, and university endowments) in connection with their private fund investments and other alternative investment structures.
Prior to joining Cole-Frieman & Mallon LLP, Jon served as legal counsel to Farallon Capital Management, an SEC-registered multi-strategy hedge fund manager in San Francisco.
Jon lives with his wife and dog in San Mateo, California, where he enjoys hiking, running, cooking, and listening to audiobooks and podcasts.
