As an Associate at Cole-Frieman & Mallon LLP, Divya Laxman advises clients on the formation, structuring, and operation of domestic and offshore private funds, as well as related fundraising and regulatory matters.
Prior to joining Cole-Frieman & Mallon LLP, Divya was an Associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where she advised leading private equity sponsors on the organization and operation of private investment funds across a range of industries. Before that, Divya practiced with the investment funds team at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas in Mumbai, where she worked with government clients, global private equity fund managers, and emerging and first-time managers through the fund formation process.
Divya received her Master of Laws from Columbia Law School and her first degree in law from the University of Mumbai. She lives in New York City and enjoys cooking, hiking, and traveling.
