Anthony Wise

Karl A. Cole-Frieman (Associate) Anthony ("Tony") counsels investment advisers, private fund managers, and other members of the investment management industry in regulatory and operational matters, including fund formation and structure, registration, and compliance. Tony also advises financial services employees on a variety of issues including employment agreements and separation strategy.

Tony began his legal career in the Intellectual Property ("IP") department of a national law firm where he specialized in trademark and patent prosecution. He continued his career in the IP area by focusing on inventor clients and filing patent applications on their behalf. Tony then added to his practice by representing business clients in the areas of litigation, alternative dispute resolution, and property management. Prior to joining Cole-Frieman & Mallon LLP, Tony was an associate at Law Offices of Nancy M. Battel, JD MBA, where he advised clients in a wide range of matters, including business entity formation and compliance, corporate reorganization, real estate disputes, securities law, and employment matters.

Tony holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, and received his law degree from the University of Hawaii (William S. Richardson School of Law). Tony is registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a Patent Attorney.

Tony lives with his wife, son, and daughter in the Bay Area and enjoys basketball and cooking.
